Greenwood Springs-- Jacqueline Tubbs, 82, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2017 at Diverscare Nursing Home in Amory. Born in Alabama on August 30, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Wiley M and Ettie S. Stephenson Brown. Jackie attended school in Jasper, Alabama at Redmill School. She member of the Detroit Church of Christ where she loved to sing the old gospel songs. She was employed at Glenn Manufacturing as a seasmtress for over 30 years.
When Jackie had time she enjoyed reading and traveling. Some of her fondest memories were to see new places and talk to different people. She dearly loved to talk. She also loved to watch her flowers grow which she had planted.
Her greatest joy was being with her family. God blessed her with 1 child, 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren as well as a host of nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death her son, Irvin Dewight Tubbs.
Mrs. Tubbs survivors are her grandchildren: Daniel Tubbs (Peaceful Valley), Brent Tubbs (Oak Hill Community), and Amanda Tubbs (Becker); her great-grandchildren: Katlin Baker, Olivia Tubbs, Aubrey Tubbs and Donivan Tubbs; a sister, Dorlis Fay Windham (Amory); a brother: Ron Brown (Carolyn) Millport, Alabama and a host of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service for Mrs. Jackie Tubbs will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 27, 2017, at Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery for the service.
