Jacqueline Pierce Parish
Arlington – Jacqueline Pierce Parish, 87, started her new life in Heaven on her birthday, September 7, 2023. She began her earthly life on the same date in 1936 in Franklin County, Alabama and she was born to Lois E. Pierce and Rader Wilson Pierce.
Jacqueline attended school at Belgreen High School in Franklin County, Alabama. She married the love of her life, Ben Parish, Jr. on July 11, 1957, in Hatley, MS, and they were married nearly 58 years. Jacqueline worked several jobs prior to becoming a dedicated homemaker as God blessed her and Ben with two children, a son and daughter. She was a great mom and supportive wife for many years and her family was blessed because of her love and dedication.
Her life was guided by her faith in God and she was a wonderful Christian woman. While in Amory, she was a long standing member of Meadowood Baptist Church. She loved her church family and her children came to know the Lord because of her and her husband’s love for Lord. In 2007, she and Ben moved to Texas to be closer to family.
Some of the things she liked to do in her free time was to garden and can any of the fruits of their labor in the garden. Her favorite hobby was perhaps sewing and she made and mended many things over the years. She also read many novels and really enjoyed watching the Texas Rangers Baseball team. Jacqueline enjoyed listening to country and gospel music and especially liked interior decorating. When she and her husband built a new home, she made the place look beautiful and she was the most wonderful host to any who visited her home.
Jacqueline was a wonderful mom and wife and grandmother. She will be missed dearly and her family has great comfort knowing that she is healed and at peace.
She is survived by her son, Ronald Parish (Angela), Arlington; daughter, Pamela Parish Toms (Bob), Murphy, North Carolina; grandchildren, Cheyenne Parish and Peyton Parish; sisters, Betty Richardson, Edith Taylor, Peggy Hardin, Norma Bostick (Bobby), and Ernestine Harrison; brothers, Ruble “Bill” Pierce (Rena), and Vollie Pierce (Denise).
