Sue’s prayer was answered at 10:42 on Saturday morning March 8, 2025.
She gallantly fought the cancer for five years, but she was tired and her earthly body was worn out. She knew she was bound for a better place and she was ready to go.
Ina “Sue” Wolfe Brown was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. But most of all she was a dedicated follower of Jesus Christ Our Lord and Savior. She truly lived her faith.
Sue was an avid reader, enjoyed crossword puzzles, and she was thrilled to spend time with her family, especially the grands and the great-grands. Once her daughters were old enough to know better than to burn the house down, she went to work. She held a series of jobs that might seem random, but to her they all had something that piqued her interest. She especially enjoyed working at the museum and was proud to have had her work published. She felt a calling for her work at the funeral home and counted the people there as family. She habitually checked the want ads, not because she was unhappy with her present job, but because she never knew where she might find her next adventure.
Sue is survived by her children Jim Brown and Patti Harrell and her children-in-love Loretta Brown, Brent Harrell, and Sam and Kathy Nerren. The grandchildren left behind to cherish her memory are Mary Brown, Mindy Wells (Brian), Miles Nerren (Jaynee), Mary Paige Hyland (Steven), Kayla Nabors (Vince), Madison Francis (Lauren), and Grant Nerren (Laura). Her great-grandchildren include Bella Nabors, Levi Stewart, Brody Wells, Huntley Harrell, Liam Nabors, Eleanor Nerren, Jackson Nerren, Jamie Brown, Harrison Nerren, John Henry Hyland, Nora Nerren, Frances Nerren, and Thomas Nerren. Sue is also survived by her sister-in-law, Pam Brown.
Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Brown; daughter, Beth Brown Nerren; grandchildren, Matt Brown and T.J. Nerren; her parents, Roy Wolfe and Margaret (Midge) McCullar, and her stepfather, Billy McCullar.
Pallbearers include Steven Hyland, Carl Cadden, John Mark Howell, Vince Nabors, Brian Wells, and Jimmy McFatter.
Her Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, March 11 at 10 am at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, March 10 at the funeral home from 6-8 pm.
Memorials and Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to First Baptist Church, Amory, MS or St. Jude's Children Hospital.
Memories and Condolences may be shared with her family at EEPickleFuneralHome.com.
