Hubert Wigginton
Smithville, Miss.—Hubert Harrell Wigginton, 72, died on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at the Gilmore Memorial Regional Medical Center in Amory. Born June 28, 1940, he was a son of the late Hubert Edward and Cleo Dill Wigginton. He attended Smithville Schools and was married to Pamela J. Desrosiers. He had worked for John Manville Insulation, Wallard Aircraft, Eastern Airlines, was self-employed carpenter, and at the time of his retirement, he was working for Monroe County Electric Power Association. A man of faith, he was a member of the Bigbee Baptist Church and he enjoyed helping others. He was a cattleman and also enjoyed woodturning. He was a U.S. Army Veteran.
A Celebration of Life Service will be 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at the E.E. Pickle Funeral Home Chapel in Amory with Bro. Tommy Whaley officiating. Burial will be in the Pearce Chapel Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Pamela Desrosiers Wigginton of Smithville; 3 sisters, Marie Sanderson of Amory, Mildredge Kendrick of Smithville, and Faye Pearson of Amory; one brother, James Wigginton of Smithville; 9 nieces; and 3 nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Sue Hathcock and Barbara Branham; and one infant brother.
Pallbearers will be Charlie Branham, Evan Branham, Bill Tacker, Kenny Gilmore, Robert Culpepper, Daniel Armstrong, and Jim Wigginton.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. on Friday evening at the funeral home.
