Aberdeen—Herbert Duane Hoffman, 62, died on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at his residence in Aberdeen. Born in Michigan on October 7, 1957, he was the son of Dorothy and Herbert Walter Hoffman.
Herbert was an honest man who mostly kept to himself. Throughout his life, he worked in auto repair across Arkansas and Louisiana. Herbert also worked in heavy equipment repair in Pontotoc, MS, with Dickie Crew. Herbert was known as a jack-of-all-trades when it came down to working with his hands. In his free time, Herbert enjoyed being outdoors and fishing. His children and grandchildren brought him the greatest joy in his life. He will be dearly missed by his loved ones.
Herbert is survived by his daughter, Wendy Cheri Hoffman, Florida; sons, William Duane Hoffman, Aberdeen, Wesley Walter Hoffman (Jessica), Aberdeen; grandchildren, Lerissa, Gunner, Dylan, Alexandria, Katarina; sisters, Betty Hoffman, Patty Hoffman; and brother, Pete Hoffman.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by the love of his life, Tina Eaves; and nephew, David Holloway.
A memorial service for Herbert will be hosted by the family at a later date.
