Helen Doris Pace

Helen “Mamaw” Pace, age 80, was a lifelong resident of Becker, MS. She graduated from Becker High School. She married O.C. Pace on December 23, 1959. This year would have been their 58th anniversary. She started working at Amory Garment briefly until she went to work at Amory Manor Nursing home as a housekeeper. She would retire from there after 30 years. She left this world on December 22, 2017 at the Monroe Regional Hospital in Aberdeen, MS after a sudden illness.
She loved her family with all of her being. Playing games with her great grandchildren, reading love novels, watching the news and watching her favorite story, The Young and the Restless were favorite pastimes of hers.
She is survived by her loving husband O.C. Pace, two daughters Winnie Ross (Johnny) of Athens, and Robin Rieves (Chris) of Aberdeen, six grandchildren, Joey Ross (Demika) , Hamilton, Josh Ross (Jodi), Becker, Jamie Sloan (Brandon, Becker, Ashley Humbers (Corey), Athens, Courtney Smith (Craig), Lexington, TN, Raymond Matt Rieves, Aberdeen and Austin Oglesby, Athens; a sister, Gertrude Sanders, Tupelo; a brother, Thomas Wayne Miller (Lois), Birmingham, Al; twelve great-grandchildren, Riley and Ryder Ross, Braley, Charlie Kate, and Haley Sloan, Shawn Renfro, Gavin and Thomas Ross, Heatan and Anna Leigh Humbers, Bryce and Caleb Smith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George Thomas and Alice Renfro Miller; a son, Richard Allen Pace; grandson, Braxton Fretwell, a niece, Barbara Boumert; a nephew, Steve Ratliff; three sisters, Ruby Peach, Mary Ratliff and Emma Langford; two brothers, Felix and Basil Miller.
A celebration of life service for Helen Miller Pace will be at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home in Amory. Bro. Robert Earl Fowlkes will be officiating. Burial follow in Haughton Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Joey and Josh Ross, Corey Humbers, Craig Smith, Brandon Sloan, Matt Rieves and Austin Oglesby. Honorary pallbearers will be her great-grandsons: Braley Sloan, Gavin Ross, Heatan Humbers, Ryder Ross, Thomas Ross, Bryce Smith and Caleb Smith.

Visitation for Mrs. Pace will be from Noon-1:50 P.M., Tuesday at the funeral home.
