Born on August 7, 1921, in Vardaman, he was a son of the late Bennet Harmon and Betty Leachman Morrow.Harry was a graduate of Vardaman High School and Mississippi State University. An Army Air Corps pilot in World War II and the Korean War, he honorably served his country in England and Korea. A successful businessman, he was the owner of Monroe Marine and Sprint Boats with his son-in-law. Remembered mostly for his Drive-In theaters, Harry owned and operated Trace Drive-In and 41 Drive-In. Formerly a member of Vardaman Baptist Church, Harry had been a member of First Baptist Church since 1959. A persistent gentleman who possessed an infectious smile, a great laugh, and a wonderful sense of humor, Harry loved his family, especially being with his daughter. He enjoyed spending time at Pickwick fishing with his grandsons, who were the highlight of his life, and son-in-law, who showed him where the fish were always biting. Harry was a Rotarian and a Paul Harris Fellow. He always anticipated meeting with the coffee drinkers at Renasant Bank while sitting around the table solving all of Amory’s problems.A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 PM, Friday, March 2 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home with Dr. Allen Simpson officiating. Burial will follow in Haughton Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be John Creekmore, Woody Brand, Butch Faulkner, Tommy Cole, John Burk, and Jerry Frederick. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Corder, Gene Shackleford, Malcolm Farris, and Carter Dobbs.Visitation will be from 5 - 8 PM, Thursday at the funeral home. He is survived by his daughter, Mary Denise Morrow Faulkner (Phil), Amory; grandsons, Bryan Lewis Faulkner (Rachael) and Phillip Faulkner of Amory; great-grandson, Jack Thomas Faulkner; and nieces, Sally Morrow Axton and Suzanne Morrow Shrum.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Frances D. Morrow; and brother, Thomas D.
