Harris Clay Simmons

Amory- Harris Clay Simmons, 58, died Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at his residence in Amory. Born January 1, 1955 in Amory, he was a son of Harris Don and Bernice Tubb Simmons.

A 1974 graduate of Amory High School, he received a degree in tool and dye from IJC and a degree from Northeast MS Community College in business. He was a member of St. Andrews Methodist Church and was a dedicated employee of 25 years at Itt Fabri Valve, where he made numerous friends. He enjoyed eating and relaxing with his family, especially his son, and being outdoors and watching the sunset.

He is survived by his mother, Bernice Tubb Simmons; son, Justin Simmons (Faith), Amory; brother, Kenny Simmons (Patty), Amory; nephew, Zach Simmons, Jackson.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his wife, Jan Simmons.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 7pm, Thursday, November 14, 2013 at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home with Bro. Justin Simmons and Bro. Danny Burks officiating.

Visitation will be prior to the service on Thursday from 4pm-6:45pm.

Donations may be given to the Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi, 800 Avery BLVD Suite 100 Ridgeland, MS 39157-5225.
