Hatley – Harold Junior Tucker, 76, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2015, at his residence in Amory, MS. Born on July 28, 1939, in Alabama, he was a son of the late Robert and Claira Lyndsey Tucker.
Mr. Tucker attended school in Becker and he went to work at a young age so that he could be a provider for his family. He loved the Lord and was an active member of New Hope Baptist Church. Together with his first wife, Ann Tucker, they raised three children. Harold worked for Scribner’s as a Truck Driver, worked as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic and he owned the Union 76 Gas Station in Amory for a couple years. He was extremely talented with his hands and he would restore old cars. After his first wife passed, he married Nell Tucker and was blessed with a larger extended family. After working for many years he retired and he enjoyed spending time fishing for catfish and hunting for deer. Above all, his kids and grandkids meant the most to him in his life. Some of his closest friends were E.J. Wilemon, Paul Hicks, Johnny Walden, and Roland Minga. The guys could be found hanging out at Hardees, drinking coffee, and solving the world’s problems. He liked to listen to old Country Music, Gospel, and Blue Grass music. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
