Becker, Miss.—Harold Loyd Sanders, 76, died on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at his home. Born September 17, 1936 in Becker, he was a son of the late Thomas Levis and Stella Florence Moon Sanders.
He attended Becker school and married Margaret Ann Stafford. Before his retirement, he was a long-time employee of Vista Chemical in Aberdeen. A Baptist, he attended Becker Baptist Church. A loving father and husband, he enjoyed spending time with his family. His hobbies include working outdoors; gardening; fishing, especially for crappie; and hunting.
A Celebration of Life Service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at the E.E. Pickle Funeral Home Chapel in Amory with Bro. Randy Spencer and Bro. Eric Keeton officiating. Burial will be in the Greenbrier Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Ann Sanders of Becker; two daughters, Wanda G. Gilmore (Jeff) of Becker and Brenda N. Cantrell (Dudley) of Becker; one son, Thomas Brad Sanders (Cindy) of Whiteman AFB, MO; one sister, Linda Dianne Johnson of Ocala, FL; 7 grandchildren, Sha Easter, Eric Keeton, Scott Keeton, Bryan Foshee, Taylor Sanders, Amber Van Volsen, and Lori Edwards; and 16 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Susan Sanders; and two brothers, Tommie Ray and Willis Gerald Sanders.
Pallbearers will be Bryan Foshee, Scott Keeton, Eric Keeton, Dudley Cantrell, Jeff Gilmore, and Larry Johnson. Honorary pallbearer will be Troy Kelly.
Visitation will be 5 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday and will continue until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.
