Harold Little

Amory – Harold Reece Little, 83, died on Wednesday, October 26, 2011, at Community Hospice, Verona. Born on October 6, 1928, in Smithville, he was a son of the late Shelly George and Othel Dallas Palmer Little.
Mr. Little was a graduate of Smithville High School. On April 28, 1950, he married Margaret Cantrell. Mr. Little honorably served his country in the US Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. Upon returning home, he opened and operated Amory Plumbing Company. A man of deep faith, Mr. Little was a member of New Hope Church of Christ. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, woodworking, and Gospel music.
He is survived by his sisters, Josephine Lorick (Buddy), Saltillo, Carolyn Harris, Selmer, AL, Peggy Ausborn (Curtis), Smithville, and Elsie Tartt (Jimmy), Amory; brothers, Scotty Little (Ann), Memphis, and Kendall Little, Amory; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by brothers, Farrell and Dale Little; sister-in-law, Hope Little; and brother-in-law, David Harris.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10 AM, Saturday, October 29 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home with Mr. David Highland, minister, officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Visitation will be from 5 – 8 PM, Friday at the funeral home.
