Hamilton – Harold Eugene Butler Jr., 64, died on Sunday, February 22, 2015, at his residence in Hamilton. Born on November 29, 1950, in Tupelo, he was a son of the late Marjorie Ruth Worthey and Harold Eugene Butler, Sr.
Harold attended school in Hamilton. On October 18, 1980 he married Sherry L. Anderson. He worked for T.K Stanley in Aberdeen as an Operator and Field Supervisor. He enjoyed the people he worked with tremendously. He was a Baptist and his family was the most important thing to him in his life. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. The Lost 40 Hunting Club was special to Harold and he enjoyed hunting with his club members.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Sherry Butler, Hamilton; daughter’s Mandy Simmons (Tony), Hamilton, Angie Hanna (John), Hamilton; son, Cory Ebert (Laura), Smithville; sisters, Pam Phillips, North Carolina, Debbie Dean, Aberdeen, Linda Palmer, Aberdeen, Betty Kaye Sandlin, Hamilton, Janice Stanford (Cleatis), Aberdeen; brother, Bobby Gosa (Linda), Columbus; grandchildren, Tyler Self Ebert, Alex Brown, Jessie and Jodie Kinneson, Wesley Simmons, Gracey Holloway, Toney Leigh Simmons; Michael, Will, and Callie Hanna; Uncle, Bob Butler (Wanda), Nettleton; several nieces and nephews; special friends, staff of TK Stanley, Inc., Lost 40 Hunting Club, and friend, Hubert Guin.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a Stepdad, William “Son” Gosa; grandparents, J.W. and Lucy Worthey, John Marion and Alma Lee Butler.
A private visitation was held on Sunday, February 22, 2015.
