Gloria Ann Duncan

Amory- Gloria Ann Wehrman Duncan, 76, died Saturday, January 4, 2014 in Blacksburg, VA. Born in Wren September 13, 1937, she was a daughter of Henry August and Earnest Lee Whatley Wehrman. Growing up in Wren she graduated from Wren School, was of the Methodist faith and worked at Amory BBQ and other restaurants in the area. Fun loving and enjoying having a good time with her family, she was an excellent cook. Living in Virginia the last 12 years, she enjoyed keeping up with her family, taking care of animals and watching TV.

She is survived by her daughter, Lorie Jones, Wren; son, William S. Duncan, Jr., Hatley; sister, Mary Lee Bush (Ronnie), VA; brother, Roy Wehrman, Wren; grandchildren, Cindy Lockhart (Dwight), Brandy Reeves (Mike), Alan Gann II (Megan), Crystal Jones (Donald), James Jones II and Dustin Jones; 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2pm, Thursday, January 9, 2014 at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home with Bro. Truman Carter officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dwight, Justin and Hunter Lockhart, Dustin Jones, Donald Jones, Jr. and Zach Raper.

Visitation will be Wednesday evening at the funeral home from 5-8pm.
