Amory – Glenn Allen Flippo Garrett, 40, died on Tuesday, December 16, 2014, as a result of a car accident in Wren. Born on April 23, 1974, in Andalusia, AL, he was a son of Bobby and Julia Johnston Jenkins and Glenn and Carol Flippo.
Garrett attended Amory. He served in the United States Army as a Private First class at Fort Eustis, Virginia. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church, Nettleton, MS. Garrett worked as a Surveyor in the construction business. An active young man, some of the things he enjoyed were fishing, working, and being at home. He enjoyed spending time with his family more than anything. He liked to listen to gospel music and he loved to listen to music by Michael Combs.
In addition to his parents he is survived by a young man, whom he cared for like a son, William Austin Tucker of Pontotoc, MS; two sisters, Jennifer Bennett of Aberdeen and Tracey Montgomery of Nettleton; three brothers, Jason Flippo (Brandy) of Smithville, Joshua Flippo of Pecos, TX, and Terry Flippo (Dusty) of Rincon, GA; an Uncle, Lonzie Phelps; niece Desiree Bennett; nephew James Allen Bennett; a host of nieces and nephews; and his girlfriend Robin Jones.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, December 19, 2014 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home with Bro. Robert E. Fowlkes officiating.
Visitation will be from 12 PM to 2 PM, Saturday, at the funeral home.
