– Gertrude Weaver Lindsey 87, died on Saturday, January 28, 2012, at Gilmore Memorial Regional Medical Center. Born on December 12, 1924, in Itawamba County, she was a daughter of the late Roy and Lula Harris Holloway.Mrs. Lindsey attended Splunge and Turon Schools. She was a member of Liberty Grove Baptist Church. Before retiring, Mrs. Lindsey had worked at National Envelope in Chicago, in the Lunch Room at Smithville School, and as a housekeeper at Gilmore Memorial Hospital. A loving mother and grandmother, her life was guided by her family and friends. Mrs. Lindsey enjoyed growing flowers, talking on the telephone, gardening, watching Channel 39, and listening to Gospel music.A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 PM, Monday, January 30 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home with Bro. Jamie Gillentine officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Gillentine, David Holloway, Charles Holloway, Chris Christian, Nathaniel Ratliff, and Dale Wilson.Visitation will be from 5 – 8 PM, Sunday at the funeral home.She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Hanna, Amory; step-daughter, Shelby Jean Mitchell (Ralph), Smithville; step-son, Roy Lee Lindsey (Phyllis), Amory; sister, Judy Gillentine (Kenneth), Nettleton; brothers, Len Holloway (Sue), Smithville, Leo Holloway (Glenda), Amory, Joe Holloway (Rita), Tupelo, and Wilburn Holloway (Billie), Pontotoc; grandchildren, Melinda Christian (Chris), Amory and Adam Tucker (Ginger), Smithville; great-grandchildren, Chelsea, Katie, Ryan and Dylan Christian; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Eunice Pearce, Sanie Mae pierce, and Lorene Cheeks.In addition to his parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Raymond Weaver; second husband, Shelby Lindsey; sisters, Jane Tindall and Nellie Faye Patterson; and brother, J.
