Smyrna, TN – Geraldine “Geri” Peeler Mann, 76, died on Monday, April 7, 2014, at her residence. Born on November 22, 1937, in Amory, she was a daughter of the late Gerald and Burma Parham Peeler.
Geri was a graduate of Messick High School and Memphis State University. For 26 years, she was a devoted and caring teacher with Memphis City Schools. Believing in The Lord Jesus Christ, Geri was a member of Smyrna United Methodist faith. Passionate about her family, she enjoyed spending time with them.
She is survived by her son, Matthew Mann, Smyrna, TN; sister, Jean Young (Lawrence), Duncanville, TX; granddaughter, Jennifer Slaughter (Ashley), Smyrna, TN; great-grandson, Jackson Coleman Slaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Mann, and daughter, Audrey Mann.
A Graveside Service will be held at 10 AM, Thursday, April 10 in Masonic Cemetery with Rev. Don McCain officiating. Everyone is asked to meet at 9:45 AM, Thursday, at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9 – 9:45 AM, Thursday at the funeral home.
