Gerald “GW” Pugsley, 73, passed away at Merit Health Gilmore Hospital on January 12, 2017. Born in Macon County, Illinois he was a son of the late Harvey Warren and Mary Louise Pugsley. He married Peggy Bryant Pugsley on February 14, 2009. He was a faithful member of the Bethel Apostolic Church. One to never meet a stranger, he loved to talk to people and enjoy their fellowship. He loved to cook, especially apple fritters, a recipe made famous by his church family. In his spare time, he loved to listen to country music and Gospel music, especially Bill Gaither.
Mr. Pugsley is survived by his wife, Peggy Bryant Pugsley; daughter, Michelle Vincent (John), Dyer, Indiana; sons, Scott Pugsley (Holly), Mathiston, Dale Blaylock, Franklin, Ky, Damon Blaylock (Trish), Franklin, Ky; sister, Terry Crowe, South Elgin, Illinois; Grandchildren: Justin and Aaron Fiehn, Jacob Faso, Jesse Pugsley, Justin Potts, Danica Potts; Great-grandchildren: Autumn, Sophia and Lilliana Fiehn; special family members, Shelly and Danny Crowe, and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Larry Pugsley.
Services for Mr. Pugsley will be on Monday, January 16, 2017, 2:00 P.M. at the Bethel Apostolic Church with Bro. Stanley Blaylock, Bro. Coy Hill. Pallbearers will be Scott Pugsley, John Vincent, Justin Fiehn, Aaron Fiehn, Jacob Faso, Jesse Pugsley, Justin Potts, and Tyson Blaylock. Burial will be in Haughton Memorial Park, Amory.
Visitation for Mr. Pugsley will be on Sunday, January 15, 2017 at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M.
