Willie Nelson was his favorite artist and he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Some of his closest friends in addition to his wife were his friends J. J. Holloway, Jeff Shepherd, John Pitre, and Terry Strength. He always used some of his favorite sayings during conversations, like “Your kidding” or “Fair to Middlin” and “What you Mean?” Gerald always brought a smile to others faces and he will be missed greatly.
