Freddie Maxwell Kennedy
Booneville/Smithville – Freddie Maxwell Kennedy, 64, started his new life in Heaven on February 25, 2023. He was born on April 2, 1958, in Memphis, Tennessee to the late Eldried Maxwell Kennedy and Helen Anita Knight Kennedy.
Freddie grew up in Monroe County and graduated from Smithville High School with the class of 1976. He went on to further his education at ICC where he graduated in 1979. He married the love of his life, Vickie Pate Kennedy and together they were blessed with a large family. Freddie worked as a salesman for both Boral Bricks as well as Sanderson Farms. He had a great work ethic, was a great provider, and never met a stranger.
A fun loving and happy man, Freddie always had the ability to make others smile, especially when he would play a prank on someone. He believed in the Lord and was a member of Osborne Creek Baptist Church where he enjoyed singing gospel music. His faith was lived out daily as he was always looking out for others and loved his family and friends dearly. In addition to his family, some of his close friends were Linda Hankins, Trent Hill, Anthony Sorrell and Julius Agnew.
He loved music and was gifted as he could play country and bluegrass music on the guitar. In his free time, he liked to go fishing, duck hunting, and play the guitar. When the hunting was finished, he often cooked the meals at the Duck Hunting Camp. Many wonderful memories were made through the years.
Above all, Freddie enjoyed helping others. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends and they look forward to the day they are reunited.
