Okolona – Francis Louise Sanders, 93, died on Monday, February 9, 2015, at Shearer Richardson Nursing Home. Born on August 2, 1921, in Pontotoc, she was a daughter of the late James Wesley and Fannie Snow Kelly Moorman.
Francis graduated high school in Tupelo. She married L.J. Boyles and when he passed away, she married Paul Sanders. Mrs. Sanders loved her family and she worked hard as a homemaker all her life. A lady full of humor, she loved to tell jokes. She enjoyed taking care of her devoted dog “Shorty”. She was member of First Baptist Church in Tupelo. Francis was passionate about the cure for arthritis and the Arthritis Foundation. She loved country music, especially the artist Marty Robbins. Her family was the most important thing to her in her life.
Survivors include her son, Lee Boyles Jr. (Mae), Okolona; grandchildren, Leighann Graves (Todd), Okolona; great- grandchildren, Paige, Payne and Paxton Graves; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two husbands L. J. Boyles and Paul Sanders; sister, Inez Bailey; brother, James Moorman.
A Funeral Service will be held at 3 PM, Thursday, February 12 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home with Brother Thomas Warren officiating. Burial will follow in Haughton Memorial Park, Amory. Pallbearers will be Todd Wicker, Wayne Parish, William Warren, and Bill Monaghan.
Visitation will be from 5 – 8 PM, Wednesday at the funeral home.
