Frances Davis
Mary Frances Thompson Davis, 73, began her new life in Heaven on September 4, 2023. She was born on August 22, 1950, in Shelby, Ms. to the late Walter Charles Thompson and Maggie Braxton Thompson. Frances attended Rosedale High School in Rosedale Ms.
Frances lived her life doing the things she loved most, being a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. During her lifetime, she was blessed with a wonderful husband, Jerry Davis, four daughters, six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Francis was a sweet, beautiful spirit known for her sense of humor and was proud of raising her daughters, three grandchildren and a great grandchild.
She loved her family fiercely and her relationship with the Lord was of utmost importance. Her faith was evident in her relationship with others and her willingness to serve others. Frances was a member of the Amory Church of God and she enjoyed listening to southern gospel music and singing with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She will be missed dearly. The memories made through the years will be cherished forever.
Frances is survived by her husband Jerry Davis, daughters; Kimberly Renee Barnette, Misty Davis and Kayci McIntire (Marc) of Madison Ms.; grandchildren; Corey Davis (Felicia), Brittney Goode, Blake Arbuckle, Regan Bruckner, Gavin McIntire and Neely Rose McIntire; great-grandchildren; Owen Goode, Mackenzie Davis, Kolton Davis, Brantley Arbuckle, Kyler Davis, Aubri Arbuckle and Grey Davis, Gian McIntire, sister; Peggy Davis; brother, Donald Thompson (Virginia); and six nieces and twelve nephews, and special friends Kathleen Warren, Frances Sloan, Lola Steele, Reba King, Mildred Mitchell and Amy Strait.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Jeri Sherena Roberts; brothers, Butch Thompson, Jimmy Thompson and Kenny Thompson, Sister; Jean Castle; great-granddaughter; Ozzy Michelle; great-grandnephew, Jessie King.
There is a Memorial Service planned for Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Amory Church of God, 1313 Hatley Road, Amory, Mississippi. In lieu of flowers, memorials/donations may be made to Amory Church of God, Amory, Ms.
