Frances Brewer

Amory – Frances Rebecca “Becky” Wilkins Brewer, 70, passed away from a prolonged illness on May 19, 2024, at The Meadows in Fulton, MS. She was born in Whistler, Alabama, on July 1st, 1953, to Roy Joseph and Catherine (Snyder) Wilkins.

Becky was raised in Whistler, Alabama and as the middle child of 5 siblings with only one sister, she was influenced by a “boy ran” household. She married the love of her life, Grover Lee Brewer on January 18, 1981. They shared 27 wonderful years and she faithfully cared for him until his death in 2008.

From early childhood into her later years, she enjoyed taking care of others, being independent, and all things Elvis Presley. She developed a love for fishing, crocheting, sewing handmade costumes for her children for plays and holidays. Becky lived in Talking Rock, Georgia where she was always involved in school activities and her children sports.

Becky was a wonderful cook and well known for her family suppers. She always put her family first in everything she did and even with health struggles of her own, she always made sure her children were well taken care of. She had a great sense of humor, a smile that would light up the room, and a laugh that would fill it.

She was a devout believer in God, she leaned on him and believed fully in the power of prayer. While her family will miss her, they are comforted in knowing she is in the presence of God and reunited with those loved ones who have gone on before. She leaves behind a legacy of strong faith and great memories for her family and friends to cherish forever.

Becky is survived by three daughters, Kathy Webb Wallace (Allen) of Tennessee, Christy Westbrook Hyde (Stacey) of Alabama and Lisa Brewer Howell (Austin) of Hatley, Mississippi; three sons, Stephen Brewer (Faith) of Colorado, John Brewer of California, and Stepson Don Brewer (Teresa) of Hatley Mississippi; two brothers, Ray Wilkins and David Wilkins; one sister, Edna Wilkins Harper; and a host of grandchildren including Tyson Brewer, Heaven Brewer, Olivia Howell, Rose Howell and Noah Howell who shares a birthday with his grandmother Becky.

In addition to her parents, Roy and Catherine (Snyder) Wilkins, she is joined in heaven by her husband, Grover Brewer; son, Lonnie Westbrook; daughter, Marie Antoinette Webb (Toni); brother, Luther Wilkins; two stepsons, Rickey Brewer and Darren Brewer; and one grandson, Logan Goodwin.
