Smithville – Fayra Elaine Knight, 64, died on Friday, February 3, 2012, at her residence. Born on August 16, 1947, in Bartahatchie, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Arizona Mitchell Reeves.
Mrs. Knight attended Hamilton High School. Working as a supervisor in the furniture industry, she had worked at Burris, Townhouse/Penthouse, and Alan and White. Mrs. Knight retired from Dollar General in Smithville. She attended Smithville United Methodist Church. A wonderful lady who was always happy, Mrs. Knight’s life was centered around her husband, children, and grandchildren. She enjoyed fishing, sewing, cooking, and listening to Country and Gospel music.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 PM, Monday, February 6 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home with Bro. Charles Coggins officiating. Burial will follow in Pearce Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Knight, Michael Knight, II, Joshua Knight, Kyle Knight, Chris Irvin, and Mitchell Alred.
Visitation will be from 5 – 8 PM, Sunday at the funeral home. She is survived by her husband, Hubert Wayne Knight, Smithville; sons, Tony Holcomb (Faye), Paragould, AR, Jimmy Holcomb (Marilyn), Splunge, Ken Holcomb, Hamilton; step-children, Michael Knight (Edith), Splunge and Angie Irvin (Dean), Aberdeen; sisters, Kathleen Lochridge (Truman), Hamilton, Earlene Crow (Jerry), New Hope, and Loraine Ott (Jimmy), Hamilton; daughter-in-law, Tina Holcomb, TOWN; 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many special friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Ann Reeves, and a son, Tim Holcomb.
