Amory—Willie Faye Lindsey, 86, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 2, 2018. Born in Itawamba County on March 23, 1932, she was a daughter of Marshall and Ninnie Lou Chamblee.
Willie Faye graduated from Tremont High School. She was a loving wife, a supportive mother, affectionate grandmother and great-grandmother. She raised five daughters and one son. She was a longtime member of Meadowood Baptist Church. Her faith guided her life and she raised her family to love and know Jesus. She faithfully read her bible every day and devoted her life to serving the Lord. She was an excellent seamstress and spent much of her time sewing, crocheting, and knitting. She was also an expert in cross stitch and the art of quilting. In her free time, she also enjoyed reading.
Willie Faye leaves behind many treasured memories with her family and she will be missed dearly. She is celebrating with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ today.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Lindsey; daughters, Donna Sproul (Steve), Diane Lindsey, Pat Barnes (Terry), Wanda Pontillo (James), Amy Conzemius (Bill) ; twelve grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren and a brother, Marvin Chamblee.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Mike Lindsey; sister, Mary Lee Duvall; and brothers, Charles Porter and Joe Douglas Chamblee.
A funeral service will be held for Willie Faye at 10AM on Friday, September 7, 2018, at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home. Dr. Lloyd Sweatt will be leading the service. Private family burial will follow at Itawamba Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Friday, September 7, from 9AM until the service hour at the funeral home.
