Eugene West

Becker, MS – Eugene West, 63, passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2015, at his residence. Born on March 6, 1952, in Glenwood, Georgia, he was a son of the late Alvis West, and Icelee Vick West.

Eugene attended Oak Hill School. He loved his family and his friends and was very fortunate to have many friends. Eugene had two jobs during his life. He was as a logger who ran chainsaws and was a factory worker in the garment business. He was of the Baptist faith. Eugene was an outdoorsman who loved fishing hunting and camping. He was passionate about collecting knives. Eugene loved gospel music. His favorite songs were Amazing Grace and Gloryland.

Survivors include his children: Eugene West (Amanda); daughters: Glenda Palmer (Terry), Saltillo; Regina Dangerfield, Aberdeen; Rhonda Tubb, Amory; his mother: Icelee West; brother: Bobby Ray West Becker; sisters: Lois Ann Herron, Becker; Margaret Ann Hacker (Robert) Becker; and Rita Kay Stanford, Becker; grandchildren: Skylie and Syndra West, Lexi, Kane, Kayden, Keyni, & Kodah Dangerfield; Cameron Tubb; Paige, and Harley Tubb. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alvis West.

His funeral service will be held at 11:00 A. M., Tuesday, December 29, 2015, at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory, with Bro. Robert Earl Fowlkes officiating. Burial will be in Greenbrier Cemetery in Becker, MS.

Visitation will be from 9-11 A.M., Tuesday, at the funeral home.
