Eria Mae Brown Roberts

Laplace, LA - Eria Mae Brown Roberts, our beloved Mother and friend, passed on Monday, March 9, 2015, at East Jefferson General Hospital in Metairie, LA. She was born June 1st, 1941, to the late Era Mancil (EM) Brown & Burma Mae Armstrong of Amory, MS.

She was a graduate of Amory High School. She worked at Wilson Manufacturing, as a secretary for Amory Garment, Monroe Co. Welfare Dept., Shannon's Body Shop, Liberty Mutual Insurance and Fluor Daniels where she retired.

Eria devoted her life to taking care of others, her family and friends. Since a child she had a strong work ethic, Eria drove many of her family and friends to doctor appointments and hospitals. Eria loved to watch football, she was a big fan of the New Orleans Saints.

She loved gardening and cooking, she shared her plants and made many cakes for others.

Eria is survived by her daughters, Nicole Roberts Lambert and Teresa Fears Keating (husband, Ron Keating) of Laplace, LA; Cherished Grandmother of Eric & Stephanie Keating; sister, Linda Brown Pearce of Amory; aunts, Audrey Calhoun (Nettie) and Edith Armstrong, and a niece and nephew.

Her family will receive friends from 5 - 7 PM, Monday, March 16, 2015, at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory.
