Carolina Community- Emojeane Moore Lamb, 67, died Sunday, April 20, 2014 at NMMC. Born May 25, 1946 in Itawamba County, she was a daughter of Lonnie Moore and Ruby Alred Davis. She married the love of her life, Russell Reed Lamb May 11, 1963.
A woman of great courage, determination and faith, she was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and attended Dorsey and Carolina School. A very caring and compassionate lady she touched many lives with her daycare that she operated. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, working in the yard, cooking and being with her church family.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 51 years, Russell Lamb; daughter, Tonya Williams (Tim), Nettleton; son, Tim Lamb (Jessica), Smithville; sister, Bobbie Vann, Verona; brother, Billy Moore (Judy), Amory; sister in law, Addie Bell Moore; grandchildren, Lexie, Jaleigh, Mia and Knox Williams, John- Reed and Sawyer Lamb; several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Mildred Krause Stoughton, WI.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a brother, Lonnie “Junior” Moore.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11am, Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at Liberty Baptist Church with Bro. Mike Tucker officiating. Burial will follow in New Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tim Lamb, Tim Williams, Oliver Westmoreland, Danny Brookman, Murlis Underwood and John Steele. Honorary pallbearers will be John-Reed Lamb, Sawyer Lamb, Knox Williams and Ayden Moore in memory of Junior Moore.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home from 5-8pm.
Mrs. Lamb will lie in state at the church on Wednesday from 10am until service time.
