– Emma J. Adams, 82, died on Thursday, July 28, 2011, at Gilmore Memorial Regional Medical Center. Born on January 9, 1929, in Aberdeen, she was a daughter of the late Eulous R. and Alline Smith Renfro.Mrs. Adams was a graduate of Greenwood Springs School. She married Alfred C. Adams in 1947. For over 45 years, she worked as a seamstress at McCoy Manufacturing and Amory Garment. A God-fearing woman, she was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. A sweet, loving, wonderful, and dependable lady, Mrs. Adams cherished the time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed listening to Gospel music, working in her flowers, and scrapbooking.She is survived by her daughters, Brenda J. McCool (James), Greenwood Springs, Holly G. Clayton (Jimmy), Amory, Peggy M. Whitaker (Mike), Greenwood Springs, and Susan T. Smith (Roger) Greenwood Springs; sons, Richard C. Adams (Betty), Fulton and Ronnie J. Adams (Arlene), Sulligent, AL; sisters, Audine Sims, Hatley and Flora A. Kyle, Wren; brothers, Grafton Renfro (Mamie), Mobile, AL, and Clady C. Renfro, Sulligent, AL; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her church family.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Matthew Clayton; and two great-grandsons, Mason Reed Adams and Tucker Lee Tubb.A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, July 30 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home with Bro. Jack Dauphin officiating. Burial will follow in Lann Cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from members of her family.
