Aberdeen – Ella Doris Miller Strickland, 80, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2015, at Pioneer Community Hospital. Born on February 7, 1934, in Amory, she was a daughter of the late Bill and Lilla Brigman Miller.
After attending school, she was a dedicated homemaker and mother. She raised four children. She was an avid collector of dolls and was talented at crocheting. She loved to collect what-nots.
Survived by her daughters, Jimmie Sue Pace (Billy), Amory, and Vickie Howard, Homa, LA; sons, Danny Pace (Donna), Amory, and Billy Pace, Moss Point; sister, Fay Moffett, Amory; brother, Durley Miller (Barbara), Carolina Community; grandchildren, Cindy Lockhart, Brandy Reeves, Daniel Pace, Ginger McCallester, Clint Evans, Adam Pace, and Steven Howard; a host of great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughters Kathy Norvell and Sandra Fay Duncan; granddaughter, Holly Holloway.
A Graveside Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday, February 3, 2015, at New Hope Cemetery with Bro. Justin Simmons officiating.
Memorials or donations in lieu of flowers may be made to St. Jude Research Hospital, Memphis, TN.
