Eddie Boyd

Quincy – Mr. Eddie Joe Boyd, 55, died Friday, July 15, 2011 at his residence. He was born in Aberdeen on August 6, 1955 to the late F. O. Boyd Jr and the late Mildred West Boyd.
Eddie attended Amory Schools. He was a member of New Hope Methodist Church. He worked in the sawmill prior to becoming disabled. Eddie had a love for his family, music especially playing the piano and animals.
He is survived by brother, Donald (Brenda) Boyd of Amory; his nephew, Brad Boyd of Saltillo; his niece, Niki Boyd (Les) Zemnes of Birmingham; great-nephews, Blake and Braden Boyd and Harrison Zemnes; special friend, Mae Robertson of Aberdeen. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, David Boyd.
A Graveside Service will be held 3:00 pm, Monday, July 18, 2011 at Durrett Cemetery in Quincy with burial to follow.
Visitation will be at the funeral home Monday, July 18th from 1:00 – 2:30 pm with procession following to the cemetery.
