Dubert "Joker" Lee Brown

Amory – Dubert “Joker” Lee Brown, 70, died on Saturday, July 4, 2015, at Merit Health Gilmore Memorial RMC. Born on July 4, 1945, in Glenwood, Georgia, he was the son of the late Erie and Gurtrude Vick Brown.

Mr. Brown attended Becker School. He married Etoy Odom Chism and together they raised three children. He worked hard for the second district road crew in Monroe County for twenty seven years, retiring in 2006. His best friend, Joe Nelson, worked with him for many years. Later in life, he married Belinda “Jo-Jo” Brown and they were happily married. He had a great sense of humor and could always make someone smile. His family was the most important to him and God guided his life’s choices. He got true enjoyment out of working, spending time with family, fishing, hunting, and gardening. He often helped family and friends in need. He was a quiet man with a big heart. Everyone knew that they could depend on him and he enjoyed living the simple life. Country music was his favorite music.
