Doris Mcreynolds Price

Amory – Doris McReynolds Price, 91, died on Wednesday, December 4, 2013, at Gilmore Memorial RMC, Amory. Born on October 13, 1922, in Columbus, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Marvin and Frankie Virginia Chatham McReynolds.

Living most of her life in Columbus, Mrs. Price was a long-time employee of First Columbus National Bank. Moving to Amory in 2004, she was a faithful member of First Baptist Church and was active in the TTL Club. She loved her Lord and her friends, both in Columbus and Amory. Mrs. Price was a devoted and beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Survivors include her son, Michael Price (Joyce), Amory; grandchildren, Jill Savely (Keith), Columbus, Amy McCreight (Dane), Daphne, AL, Laura Stacy (Jeremy), Columbus, and Justin Price (Mandi), Amory; and eleven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Everett; a sister; two brothers; and a great-granddaughter.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 AM, Friday, December 6 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home with Dr. Allen Simpson officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens, Columbus. Pallbearers will be Dane McCreight, Wesley McCreight, Dale McReynolds, Wayne McReynolds, Mark McCrory, Edward Prescott, Jess Prescott, Everett Price, Keith Savely, Jeremy Stacy, Jacob Thomas, and Zachary Thomas.

Visitation will be from 9:30 – 10:50 AM, Friday at the funeral home.
