Donna Lynn Morris

Amory- Donna Lynn Morris, 54, died Thursday, August 29, 2013 at Sanctuary Hospice in Tupelo. Born February 22, 1959 in Elgin, Il, she was the daughter of the late William Francis and Elizabeth Jane Cates Miller.

Donna attended school in Mooreville , and lived the last 34 years in Amory, working for the Monroe County Department of Human Services for 12 years. She attended First Assembly of God and her faith was a guiding part of her life. A very loving, big hearted, giving, and caring person, Donna enjoyed being with her family, especially her granddaughter, Libby. She also enjoyed gardening, sewing, painting, and collecting antiques.

She is survived by her sons, Scott Morris (Melonie) and Cody Dapp, all of Nettleton; granddaughter, Elizabeth Morris; and a host of family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Gary Wayne Miller.

A Graveside Service celebrating Donna’s life will be held at 10 AM, Saturday, August 31, 2013 at Haughton Memorial Park, with Bro. Robert Bingham officiating. Pallbearers will be Jason Thorn, Dutch Vaughn, Larry Cates, David Pickle, Adam Stacy, and Dr. Roger Ratliff. Honorary pallbearers will be the Royal Rangers of First Assembly of God, Amory.

Visitation will be on Saturday morning at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home from 8:30-9:45am.
