Saltillo— Donald Daniel Deveny, 84, passed away Thursday, March 1, 2018, at NMMC in Tupelo. Born in Plymouth, OH, on April 4, 1933, he was the son of Ruth and Bill Moore.
Donald attended school in Plymouth, OH. During his career, he worked for Wells Fargo as a supervisor. He married his sweetheart, Margaret, on December 18, 1981, and together they raised a beautiful family. Donald was a member of Saltillo First United Methodist Church. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his family and watching Fox News. Donald will be dearly missed, but his family takes comfort in knowing they will see each other again one day.
Donald is survived by his wife, Margaret Deveny, Saltillo; daughter, Melinda Cruse (Mike), Saltillo; son, George Byron Ling (Tammi), Pace, FL; grandchildren, Hope Cruse, Paige Stacks, Eva Ling, Jason Ling; great-grandchildren, J.C. Ling, Bailey Ling; sister-in-law, Diane Pope Bryant; brother-in-law, Buddy Bryant; nephew, Ivan Orr Bryant III (Lorie); and great niece and nephew, Anna Brooke Bryant and Bradon Wesley Bryant.
In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his son, James Anthony Ling; and grandson, Cason Ling.
A private graveside service will be held at Haughton Memorial Park in Amory, Mississippi.
