Dizzine Mae Gray Wright, 88, passed away at the North Mississippi Medical Center on December 10, 2016. Born in Monroe County on March 31, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Belt and Lizzine Hollis Gray. She attended school at Piney Grove. Dizzine was of the Baptist faith and attended church at Liberty Baptist Church. Dizzine worked at the Ammunition Plant in Prairie early in her life. She married Clem Wright. She then worked in the garment industry being employed at Reed’s, the County Store and Longnecker.
Dizzine was a hard worked and had a wonderful sense of humor. She loved her family and cherished each of them. Vegetable gardening was a passion of hers as well as fishing for catfish. In her spare time, should would sew dolls, crochet butterflies, listen to Loretta Lynn’s songs and play solitaire. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived a daughter, Brenda Sheffield (Wendell) ,Troy; son, Johnny Wright (Cynthia), Nettleton; sister, Addie Bell Moore, Itawamba County, 17 grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sons: Billy Jo, Elmer Earl, and Wayne Wright.
Services for Mrs. Wright will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home in Amory. Bro. Casey and Bro. Tommy Ray Dabbs will be officiating. Burial will follow at the Conwill-Goodwin Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Daniel, David, Billy, Jacob, Chase Wright, Boo Sheffield and Blake Coptane.
