Amory – Dimple Kiser, 91, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2017, at Oak Tree Manor in Amory. Born on March 5, 1925, in Monroe County, she was a daughter of the late Murray Stockton and Alveretta “Retta” Phillips Lann.
Dimple was a graduate of Amory High School, Class of 1942. On March 6, 1943, she married the love of her life, Charles Andrew Kiser. They were blessed with a beautiful daughter. Dimple worked as a seamstress at Amory Garment over 20 years and at Glenn Mfg., retiring in 1975. A lady of strong faith, she was an active member of First Baptist Church, Amory. Dimple was a faithful encourager of others. With her daughter, they enjoyed cooking together as well as eating out together. Dimple enjoyed gardening, loved her flowers and watching soap operas.
She is survived by her daughter, Andra Faye Kiser, Amory; numerous cousins; special friends, the Staff of Oak Tree Manor.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of nearly 63 years, Charles Andrew Kiser.
Her Funeral Service will be at 1 PM, Friday, February 10 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory, with Bro. Jimmy McFatter officiating. Burial will follow in Hatley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Phil Hoots, Sam Mitchell, Lester Cagle, Gene Haney, Todd Goldman, Johnny Cadden. Honorary pallbearers will be Rev. Mac Phillips, Jimmy Phillips, Don Phillips, Doug Hoots, Glenn Devall, Van Hilt, Thomas Harrison.
Visitation will be from 11 AM – 12:45 PM, Friday at the funeral home.
