Dianne Conwill Nations
Amory – Dianne Conwill Nations, 78, met her Savior face to face on Wednesday, May 31, 2023. She was born on November 28, 1944, in Amory, MS to the late Elmer Clay Conwill and Dorothy Verniece Coker Conwill.
Dianne grew up in large family with eight siblings and graduated from Amory High School. She continued her education at ICC and graduated from MSU with a degree in Elementary Education. She touched many lives throughout her career as she was a teacher. She taught at Hatley and Aberdeen School as well as at ICC where she was the Adult Basic Education Instructor.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church and she loved the Lord. Dianne was blessed by God with a loving family, including her husband, Kermit, three daughters, and a bunch of grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Dianne will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband, Kermit Nations, Amory; daughters, Amber Imel (Bud), Aberdeen, Ginger Brown, Mobile, Al, and Meg Johnson, Tuscumbia, AL; grandchildren, Shelby Britt (Dennis), Paige Imel, Jewel McMullen, Nicholas Brown, and Dorothy Brown; great-grandchildren, Kylee Britt, Aubrie Britt, and Amani Brown; sisters, Kitty Ray (Larry), Amory, Patty Phipps (Jack), Tupelo, Janie Jones (Brent), Madison, MS, and Mary Tate, Amory; brothers, Jimmy Conwill (Karen), Tupelo, Richard Conwill (Brenda), Waynesboro, MS, Bob Conwill (Karol), New Albany, and Peter Conwill, Amory; a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her nephew, Phillip Phipps; and her brother-in-law, Bill Tate.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, June, 4, 2023 at 2:00 pm at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home in Amory, MS with Rev. Wesley Pepper officiating with Bro. Sanders providing the music. Burial will follow in Haughton Memorial Park in Amory, with Pallbearers being Douglas Jones, Cody Young, Chad Ray, Cassidy Phipps, Robert Conwill, and Joseph Conwill.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, June 4, from 1:00 pm until the service hour at the funeral home in Amory, MS.
