Aberdeen - Dewayne Brown, 49, passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2017, at North Mississippi Medical Center, Tupelo. Born on February 1, 1968, in Aberdeen, he was a son of Linda Chism Brown and the late Howard Lamond Brown.
Dewayne attended Hatley High School and went to work at an early age. A skilled worker, he could fix or build most anything. Dewayne worked in construction, tire stores, furniture plants, metal building fabrication, and vinyl siding fabrication. He grew up as a member of the True Word Gospel Church and he was blessed by God with a son. Passionate about dirt track racing during his younger days, he regularly competed against his brother and sister for 10 years at the Guin and Winfield race tracks.
He dearly loved his family and he especially looked forward to doing things with his son. Dewayne loved to be outdoors and do things he enjoyed like fishing and deer hunting. Always happy, he would help anyone in need. Dewayne never met a stranger and loved acting goofy around family and friends. He had a genuine contagious smile which will never be forgotten. He will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.
He is survived by his mother, Linda C. Reese, Aberdeen; son, Brandon Brown, Aberdeen; sister, Darlene Brown (George), Aberdeen; brothers, Charles Brown (Anita), Mooreville; step-brother, James Terral Reese, Cascilla, MS; half-brother, Chris Brown, Braxton; grandchildren, Patience, Trevor, Bella and Alaina Brown and Bailey Rowland; nephew, Anthony Reese; great-niece, Faithlin Reese; and special friends, Amanda Brown, Roxanne Herrington and Dustin Long.
