Amory – Delores Faye Wilson, formerly Delores Hall, 59, died on Monday, August 1, 2011, at her residence. Born on July 13, 1952, in McRae, GA, she was a daughter of Ethel Louise Sizemore Flurry and the late Monroe Evans.
Delores attended Hatley High School. She worked as a seamstress in the local garment and furniture industries. Delores was a member of Providence Baptist Church and attended East Amory Baptist Church. She cherished the time spent with her family. Delores enjoyed listening to Gospel music, especially the Gaithers and Jeff and Sherry Easter, and Contemporary Christian music; singing; and sewing.
She is survived by her mother, Ethel Louise Flurry, Hailey, ID; daughter, Misty Oswalt (Timmy), Amory; son, Michael Wilson (Kathy), Amory; sisters, Kathy Parish, Amory, Esther Scott and Kay White (Michael), both of Hailey, ID; brother, Roy “Jody” Evans (Donna), Columbus; grandchildren, Anna Oswalt, Kelcie Oswalt, and Justin Tate; several nieces and nephews; and a very close, special friend, Dorothy Stivala, Amory.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Randy Wilson, and a granddaughter, Reagan Danielle Wilson.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3 PM, Friday, August 5 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home with Bro. James Wilson and Bro. Roger Akers officiating. Burial will follow in Masonic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Clint Parish, David Oswalt, Dave Oswalt, Kenny Oswalt, Trentt Taylor, and Terry Holcombe.
Visitation will be from 5 – 8 PM, Thursday at the funeral home.
