Amory— Delia Eloise Foster, 80, entered her heavenly home on Friday, May 11, 2018. Born on July 13, 1937, in Coahoma, Mississippi, she was a daughter of Woodrow “Woodie” and Juanita Redd Robinson.
Delia spent much of her life taking care of children and her loved ones. She was a devoted Christian, mother, and grandmother. Her faith guided her in life, and her love for her family knew no bounds. Faith, music, and her babies brightened Delia’s life every day. A talented musician, she played the piano, mandolin, guitar, banjo, accordion, keyboard, and the dobro. She was a kind spirit who always sought to help others in need and used music to reach out to others. Delia was very giving and loved children.
Her favorite time of the year was Spring, when she could watch the flowers bloom and observe God’s handiwork. She has left a lasting mark on Earth with her kindness to others and love for her family. Delia touched the lives of many and will remain in the hearts of her loved ones forever.
Delia is survived by her daughter, Debra Ann Vaughan, Amory; sisters, Grace Moore, Hatley, Clytee Smith, Wren; brother, Donald Robinson, Athens Community; grandchildren, Dawn and Jerry Cavender, Daniel and Rachel Seymore, Amanda and Gerald Clayton Sr., Buster and Christy Nickelson, Sonya and Justin Plauche, Corey Morgan; 15 great-grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren, Addison and Sophia Trease.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Danny Miller.
A funeral service will be held for Delia at 1 P.M. Monday, May 14, 2018, at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Rushing officiating. Burial will follow at the Masonic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Daniel Seymore, Brad Moore, Gerald Clayton Sr., Gerald Clayton Jr., Buster Nickelson, Danny Clayton, and Carson Trease. Honorary pallbearers will be Delia’s grandsons.
Visitation will be from 11 A.M. to 12:50 P.M. at the funeral home on Monday.
