Quincy – Debra Ann Howard, 50, passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2014, at her residence. Born on February 28, 1964, in Nashville, she was a daughter of Virgil Brannon and the late Shirley Smith Brannon.
Debra attended Aberdeen High School. On July 1, 2000, she married Tracy Howard. Having worked in the area factories and as a ward secretary at NMMC, Debra was the assistance manager at Tobacco Superstore. Very loving, she was a true Southern lady who loved her family, especially her grandchildren, and loved her friends like family. She was Baptist. Debra enjoyed working in her rose garden; dogs; chickens; mowing the yard; Old Country, Elvis, Conway Twitty, Travis Tritt, Aretha Franklin music and listening to her son playing drums.
Survivors include her husband, Tracy Howard, Quincy; father, Virgil Brannon, Amory; daughter, Cassy Cook (Justin Cade), Athens; son, Allen Holloway, Vicksburg; sister, Misty Mitchell (Sammy), Hatley; brother, Mike Brannon, Clearwater, FL; grandchildren, Destiny Hope, Bailey Claire & Cooper Layne Holloway; many nieces and nephews; special friends, Tina & Tracy Martin, Vicky & John Bennett, and Sandra & Rick Keys.
She was preceded in death by her mom, Shirley Brannon.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, August 13 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home with Bro. Robert E. Fowlkes officiating. Burial will follow in Hatley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bobby Keith Mitchell, Ricky Stanford, Larry Archer, Billy Jones, Tracy Martin, and John Bennett. Honorary pallbearers will be employees of Modular Transportation.
Visitation will be from 5 – 8 PM, Tuesday at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory.
