Tahlequah, OK - Debra 'Debbie' Gayle Chism Bond, 57, passed away on Monday, November 6, 2017 at Tahlequah Hospital, Tahlequah, Oklahoma.
Born on September 7, 1960, in Amory, she was a daughter of the late Jimmy Clyde and Doris Nicholas Chism.
Debra was a cheerleader at South Haven High School in South Haven Mississippi. She worked at Northeastern State as manager of the Que Bowl until being transferred to the motor pool. Debra had a 22 year employment career at Northeastern State University.
She was a Rookie Bridge Volunteer and an avid Alabama Fan. Debra was a long-time member of the 29ELEVEN Church, Tahlequah.
She is survived by two sons, Christopher Bond and wife, Sarah, and Matthew Bond, all of Tahlequah, OK; two granddaughters, Lillian Bond and Laila Bond; her aunts, Barbara Jean Howell, Amory; Dot Gettings; cousins, Jere Bowen and Melissa Murphy (Charlie), who were both like sisters to her; Jeff and Greg Gettings; and loving friend, Rodney Kimble.
In additon to her parents, Jimmy and Doris Chism, she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Lonize Chism; uncle, Benny Chism; grandfather, Robert Nicholas; and grandmother, Opal Nicholas.
A celebration of life service will be 12:15 P.M., Friday, November 10, 2017 at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home in Amory. Burial will follow in Haughton Memorial Park, Amory.
Visitation for Debbie Bond will be on Friday from 11:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M.at the funeral home.
