Amory – David Lee Fletcher, 50, died on Sunday, August 9, 2015, at his residence. Born on September 6, 1964, in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, he was a son of the Edna Parsley Fletcher and the late Bob Fletcher.
He was a graduate of Watts High School class of 1982. David later attended Bevill State College, where he got his Associates Degree in Applied Science in Drafting. He served in the United States Navy, as an Aviation Electrician. On November 29, 1986 he married the love of his life Cathy Williams. David worked in Arkansas at Gates Rubber Company. Later, he worked at Belmont Homes and lastly as an Aviation Technician at the Columbus Airforce Base. He was a Sunday school teacher and a lifetime member of the Patterson Chapel Church of God. He enjoyed praise and worship music and he played the guitar in church. His family and God were the most important thing to him in life. One of closest friends, besides his wife, was Ken Thomann. He was a passionate man who loved to travel and take and compose photographs. His photography work was featured in Shuttlebug Magazine, on the cover of Yellowbook in the Shoals area, and in the Columbus Dispatch. In his free time, he would play the guitar and ride motorcycles.
Survivors include his wife, Cathy Fletcher, Amory; mother, Edna Fletcher, Watts, OK; daughter, Angela Day (Gary), Iuka; son, Jason Rosenburg (Amanda), Red Bay, Al; brother, Jack Fletcher (Erin), Watts ,OK; grandchildren, Tyler Brown, Tanner Rosenburg, Hannah Rosenburg, Lela Rosenburg, and Courtney Day.
In addition to his father, and grandparents, he was preceded in death by his uncles, Ben Fletcher and John Parsley.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, August 12 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory, with Bro. Walter Sparks officiating. Burial will follow in Green lawn Cemetery, Mountain View, Mo. Pallbearers will be Tyler Brown, Arthur Dewayne Williams, Gary Hundhausen, Gary Day, and Tanner Rosenburg.
Visitation will be from 5 – 8 PM, Tuesday at the funeral home.
