Jackson – Darwin A. ‘Dub’ Nash, 81, died on Thursday, June 28, 2012, at Central MS Medical Center. Born on June 8, 1931, in Hatley, he was a son of the late Dave and Sue Eubanks Nash.
Mr. Nash attended Hatley High School and honorably served in the US Army. On December 26, 1954, he married Jeanette Palmer. Mr. Nash worked at a factory in Hatley before going to Barber School. While in Amory, he was a member of Christian Chapel Church of Christ. Moving to Jackson in 1979, he worked as a Barber until retiring in 2005. He was a member of Jackson Church of Christ. Mr. Nash was a Mason. A good man with a big heart who saw the best in everything, he enjoyed helping others and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jeanette Nash, Jackson; sisters, Mauvolene Trembelas, Amory, and Dorothy Nash, Hatley; nephew, David Dallas; great-nephew, David Dallas, Jr.; and special friend, Randle Gray.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 PM, Sunday, July 1, 2012, at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home with Mr. Marshall Eubanks, Jr., minister, officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Visitation will be from 5 – 8 PM, Saturday at the funeral home.
