Daniel Norton

Smithville – Daniel Keith Norton, 33, died on Sunday, December 5, 2010, in Smithville, MS. Born on October 17, 1977, in Amory, he was a son of Keith and Brenda Norton and Teresa Phelps.
Daniel attended Smithville High School. He was a former employee of Peoploungers. Having a big heart for people, Daniel's daughter was the apple-of-his-eye. He enjoyed watching football, playing basketball, horses, drawing and loved music.
He is survived by his father, Keith (Brenda) Norton, Smithville; mother, Teresa Phelps, Aberdeen; daughter, Ava Norton, Sturgis; grandmothers, Margarette Norton (Pierce) Thomas, Greenwood Springs, Betty Brewer, Wren and Estelle Vaughan, Hatley; sisters, Kristi (Jonathan) Carter, Okolona, Pam (Scott) Sanders, Nashville, TN, Jill (Jimmy) Neal, Greenwood Springs and Angie (Brad) Stevens, Smithville; brother, Todd McCollum, Smithville; and several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles. Daniel was preceded in death by his grandfathers, T. J. Norton, Donald Booton and John Vaughan.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1 PM, Thursday at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home, Smithville with Bro. Wes White and Bro. Jim Rutledge officiating. Burial will follow in Lann Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brad Stevens, Jimmy Neal, Lynn Crosby, Jonathan Carter, John Cook and Greg Norton.
Visitation will be from 5 – 8 PM, Wednesday at the funeral home in Smithville.
