Dan H. Davis

Smithville – Daniel “Dan” Howell Davis, 56, died on Wednesday, February 25, 2015, at his residence. Born on November 11, 1958, in Amory, he was a son of the late Mary Jo Howell and Everett H. Davis.

Dan was a Smithville High School graduate, Class of 1976. He worked as a supervisor at Mueller in Fulton for 30 years. He attended Smithville Baptist Church and above all, he loved the Lord. Dan enjoyed the outdoors, specifically hunting and fishing. He was proud of his home town, Smithville, and he liked watching Purple Martins and his children’s baseball in his free time. He loved all things Mississippi State. Dan got the most enjoyment in his life from his children. He listened to gospel, the 80’s, and country music.

Survivors include his daughter, Brandy Davis, Southhaven; son, Cole Davis, Tupelo; brother, Ken Davis (Kathryn), Smithville; niece, Kellen Stienke; nephew, Kyle Davis.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2 PM, Sunday, March 1, 2015, in Young Memorial Garden with Bro. Jamie Stark officiating. Pallbearers will be Teddy Faulkner, Brad Stevens, John Noe, Ed Tucker, Mike Tucker, and Mike Stevens.

Visitation will be from 12 – 1:50 PM, Sunday at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home, Smithville, MS.
