Cynthia Ann “Cindy” Sullivan
Nettleton – Cindy Sullivan, 57, passed away on April 5, 2019, at her residence in Nettleton, MS. Born on June 26, 1961, in Tupelo, MS, she was the daughter of Cedric Kenyon “CK” or “Dub” Sullivan and Linda Higginbotham Sullivan Cruber.
Cindy grew up in a large family and went to school in Nettleton where she graduated with the class of 1979. She also attended the University of Southern Mississippi and was an ICC Nursing School graduate. A caring person with a big heart, she worked for 10 years at the Evergreen Medical Clinic and the Nettleton Family Clinic. Cindy also worked for 5 years at Tupelo Rehab and Nursing Home. Her career in nursing was her mission in life, as she showed God’s love through her caring hands. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Nettleton and she loved the Lord. During her lifetime, Cindy was blessed with a daughter, Samantha “Sam”.
A woman who was full of life, everyone could sense her compassion and her huge heart when they were around her. She loved animals and was head-strong and not afraid to voice her opinion on a subjects. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with Sam, reading, traveling, and watching t.v. Cindy loved animals and listening to 70’s rock music, especially the Stix and the Carpenters. She was always smiling, had a great sense of humor, and could make anyone laugh. When Cindy was around, everyone enjoyed her smiling, loving presence.
Cindy left a lasting mark on the hearts and minds of the ones who were privileged to know her. Her memories will be cherished and her love lives on within her family and friends.
Cindy is survived by her daughter, Samantha “Sam” Sullivan, Amory; mother, Linda Higginbotham Sullivan Cruber; brothers, Randy K Sullivan, Tupelo, Terry Sullivan (Pam), Amory, Poppy Cruber (Shuna), Nettleton; several nieces and nephews.
Cindy was preceded in death by her father, Cedric “C.K.” “Dub” Sullivan and her brother, Mark Sullivan.
A funeral service will be held at 3:30 pm, on Monday, April 8, 2019, at Nettleton First Baptist Church, Nettleton, with Bro. Rob Sargent and Mr. Eddie Riley officiating. Burial will follow on Tuesday, at Lee Memorial Park, Tupelo. Pallbearers will be Corey Sullivan, Brad Sullivan, Cameron Cruber, Dakota Cruber, Austin Wright, Layne Holloway, and Blake Evans.
Visitation for family and friends will be on Sunday evening, April 7, 2019 from 5pm until 8pm at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home in Amory.
