Curtis Deason

Nettleton – Curtis E. Deason, 70, began his new life in Heaven on Tuesday, July 5, 2022. He was born on August 8, 1951, in Tupelo, MS to the late Elbert O’Neal Deason and Minnie Ola Conwill Deason.

Curtis grew up in Nettleton, MS and attended Nettleton High School where he enjoyed playing football. A hard worker, he had over a 20 year career at Delta Manufacturing where he was a Robot Operator. Curtis was a great provider for the family he was blessed with and he was a devoted husband and father. He married the love of his life, Pamela A Beasley on March 28, 1988, and together they were blessed with four children and twelve grandchildren.

He was Baptist and a wonderful Christian example. He always put God first in his life and then his family. He often encouraged others to attend church to be surrounded by fellow believers and enjoy Gospel music. Curtis had a great sense of humor and always made others feel comfortable around him as he was friendly. He liked to listen to Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash.

In his free time, he like to do anything outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He liked to collect guns, play checkers, and socializing with others, especially Hollis Brown and Dan York. Curtis was a member of the Lions Club and he often attended auctions in search of the deal of a lifetime always with his wife by his side.

His family and friends consider themselves blessed to have had such a great man in their life. The memories made with him over the years will be cherished forever. It is not goodbye forever but we will see you again someday.

Curtis is survived by his loving wife, Pamela A. Deason, Nettleton; daughters, Christy Pettigo (Tim), Nettleton, Jackie Joslin (Greg), Mantachie, MS; sons, Robert Deason, Parma, MO, and E. C. Deason (Bridgett), Nettleton, MS, James Lackey, Mantachie; 12 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 18 great-great grandchildren; special friends, Hollis Brown and Dan York.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
