Coy Irvin Price
Aberdeen – Coy Irvin Price, 68, passed away on January 20, 2023 at Aberdeen Care Center Nursing Facility in Aberdeen, MS. He was born on December 13, 1954 in the old Aberdeen hospital, Aberdeen, MS to the late Leroy Price and Mary Francis Dodd Price.
Coy grew up in Monroe County and attended school in Aberdeen until the 11th grade. A young man whose family meant the world to him, he went to work at early age. Coy was a truck driver in the transportation industry and later he owned and operated a business service station. Lastly he worked as a school custodian at Becker Schools. Coy also was very good at working on vehicles and fixing anything. He was a character and after you met him, you never forgot his larger than life personality.
He was blessed with a son and a loving family during his lifetime. He had many friends as he was a very kind person and would give anyone the shirt off his back. His passion in life was helping others whenever he could. In his down time, he liked to listen to Country music, do yard work, coaching baseball, coaching football, playing hockey and riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Above all, Coy enjoyed spending time with his family.
He will be missed dearly by his family and friends. They will forever cherish all the memories made through the years.
He is survived by his son, Eric Price (fiancé Meghan), Amory; grandchildren, Ariah and Ada Price; sister, Brenda Maxey (Billy Tackett), Okolona; and brother, Wayne Price (Brenda), Greenwood Springs, MS. He was preceded in death by his parent, Leroy and Mary Francis Price.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at 11:00 am at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home in Amory, MS. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday morning, from 10:00 am until the service hour at the funeral home in Amory, MS.
