Smithville - Constance Anne “Connie” Hallada, 62, died Thursday, September 13, 2012 at her home. Born May 13, 1950 in Wisconsin, she was a daughter of Berdalla Lena Fontaine Ploff and the late Joseph Peter Hallada.

She grew up in Green Bay, Wisc. and attended Prebble High School. She lived in Tarpon Springs, Fla. and in Smithville for the past 17 years. She married William LaBaw; he survives. A professional cook, she worked for the Park Hotel in Amory several years and was a vet tech while living in Florida. A devoted wife, she cherished her time spent with her husband and best friend of 27 years. She was a huge Green Bay Packers fan and was known as living life to the fullest, optimistic, easy going, having a good sense of humor, and an exceptional cook. She enjoyed her animals.

Visitation will be 5 until 8 p.m. on Sunday evening at the funeral home. E.E. Pickle Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.

Survivors include her husband, William LaBaw of Smithville; two brothers, Dan Hallada of Green Bay and Larry Hallada of Ohio; her mother and step-father, Donald and Berdalla Lena Fontaine Ploff.

She was preceded in death by her father.
